Tenable®, which specializes in exposure management, has just released new features for Tenable Nessus Expert that make vulnerability scanning for contemporary web apps and APIs both quick and thorough. Dynamic application security testing (DAST) features in Nessus Expert’s web application and API scanning allow security professionals to proactively find and evaluate web apps and APIs for known vulnerabilities. Both the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities in specially written application code and the known vulnerabilities discovered in third-party components fall under this category.
