Customized clothing companies are racing to develop and market virtual fitting technologies.

Considering that most Americans are under quarantine and that events have been postponed, it seems that the customs suit market would be severely impacted. Suit fits are still conducted simply online, according to a few of the founders. The co-founder of Alton Lane, a company that specializes in custom suits, Colin Hunter, stated that his team has been working hard over the last ten days to quickly develop and polish the infrastructure required to replace in-person fittings with virtual ones. The fitting process has been informal and quick; consumers are now being fitted by text, FaceTime, and Google Hangouts. Hunter hopes that the online fittings, which began last week, will be sufficient to get the company through this difficult time.
